The Jackson Sentinel, Maquoketa, Jackson, IA Jan. 3, 1889
“Mary A. Prindle, a woman of middle age and not without previous matrimonial experiences, also asks to be unyolked. As the load Jared Prindle has imposed upon her since their marriage in Maquoketa in 1885, is too much. She alleges that he has been cruel and inhuman in his treatment of her and has failed to provide support, even deserted her in March 1887. On these grounds she petitions his honor the court grant her a divorce.”
