Capt. and Mrs. J. M. Hoag

Nearly two hundred of the friends of Capt. And Mrs. J. M. Hoag from this city, assembled at their delightful country home Tuesday afternoon and celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. It was postponed from June 2d on account of the weather and it was well, as the day of the gathering was charming. It was, in fact, a basket picnic, and tables were arranged in a large tent on the lawn. As usual their extensive Shetland pony farm was in perfect order and the more than three hundred ponies were an interesting sight for the visitors. The host and hostess were as genial as ever and made everybody happy.
