New Launch On Maquoketa River

“Uncle Dudley” is the name of the new launch that John Sloane and Gil Gordon had built for them in Maquoketa the past winter to ply the waters of the Maquoketa River in quest of pleasure and the “fishing holes.”

The “Uncle Dudley” is a neat and trim little launch with a canopy top and canvas side curtains, and is propelled by a two horse power gasoline engine. She has a seating capacity and can carry comfortably about ten people, and will undoubtedly be the source of considerable pleasure to he owners upon the river the coming season.

The craft was launched Monday, duly christened, and Capt. Gordon made a trip with her to the Klondike the same day.
