Married- At the hospitable home of Mr. and Mrs. Talbert Streets,two miles north of Iron Hill, On Wednedsay, January 29, 1908, at 8 p.m., their charming daughter, Rachel Ellen, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. D. F. Boomershine to Mr. Isreal Conley. Leslie Streets, a brother of the bride, and Miss Conley, niece of the groom stood up with them. While Dr. Sherman Ripperton played the beautiful wedding march the bridal party entered the parlor and took their places in a cozy corner draped tastefully with curtains and took the vows which united their lives and interests until death. After the hearty congradulations and well wishes of the 40 guests were tendered, the happy couple led the way to the dining room where a boanteous wedding supper was served and enjoyed in a hearty way. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Streets, is handsome, knows how to work and is millous to succeed in life which makes her indeed a bride worth the wooing. She wore an elegant wedding gown of blue silk with all over lace yoke and sleeves. The groom is an industrious end thrifty young man who has something in a material way to show for his labors, hence they begin life with bright material prospects, and time worthy endeavor will crown their lives with success and happiness. They received a fine array of bridal presents table linen,clock cash, etc., besides the shower on the bride by her friends. They go to housekeeping on the bride's father's farm near Crabb's Mill, where they will be at home to their many friends who with them long, prosperous and happy life. 1-29-1908 Jackson County, Iowa.
