DISTRICT COURT

Jackson County District Court convened in this city yesterday afternoon with Judge Hayes on the bench. There is considerable interest manifested and the attendance will be large. Aside from the trial of David Seeley for murder, there are several other criminal cases and some civil business. The disposals have been of little interest, so far, but it is expected the Seeley murder case will be called up today. For the defense we learn that attorneys D. A. Wynkoop, L. A. Ellis and Keck & House have been retained; and attorneys W. A. Maginnis, J. E. Campbell and Eli Cole will assist District Attorney M. V. Gannon in the prosecution. No disposals of consequence having been made up to the hour of going to press we defer transcript report to the next issue of the Sentinel.
