August Elisast had a hearing before the commissioners of insanity yesterday and there being no strong evidence against him he was discharged. He is a stone mason by trade and lives at Nashville. The information was sworn out Tuesday by his wife, who was in the city with some friends intending to have Elisast placed under bonds to keep the peace, he having several times in a jealous rage threatened to kill her. He appears like an intelligent man and is said to be well educated. The neighbors say his affliction is caused by jealousy of his wife. When told that he was free to go he politely replied, “Danken sie, mein Herr.”
