Bellevue Leader, February 6, 1879, reprinted in the Jackson Sentinel, February 13, 1879.

Captain Reiling, with a crew of ship builders, is busy over on the beach opposite town, building another barge for the steamer Reiling. We wish we had a few more such men as Captain Reiling.

Bellevue Leader, February 27, 1879, reprinted in the Jackson Sentinel, March 7, 1879.

Capt. Reiling launched the steam ferry boat yesterday, and she began running for the season in the afternoon. People on both sides of the river can now cross over at their will and pleasure, as of old.
