Oldest Man In Jackson County.

S. P. Kelly-

…we have a personal to cite this week, which, we believe, relates to the oldest man in Jackson county. On Thursday morning of last week, Mr. S. P. Kelly, aged 94 years, left in company with his son John, for Dayton, Armstrong county, Pennsylvania. Mr. Kelly does not show his many years. He is as strong as many men are at 60, is a good conversationalist and to converse with him, one would little suspect that he carried near five score years. For the past five years he has resided with his son, W. C. Kelly, of Perry township, and has had but very few days sickness in many years. The fact that he has just set out on an 800 mile railway journey proves that he is a remarkably well preserved man. He has every prospect (and we sincerely hope he may) of passing the one-hundredth mile stone of life, before being called home.
