JACKSON COUNTY-
While JOHN COSGROVE of Butler township, was riding a half broken colt last week, in passing through timber a flock of quails flew up frightening his horse, which startled suddenly, causing him to lose his balance, and as usually happens, his foot caught in the stirrup. He was dragged some distance, as it appears, when his head struck against a tree on the roadside, causing his death soon after.
