Girl Kills Rattler

Miss Emma Clary, the 16 year old daughter of Mrs. Chas. Clary, had quite an exciting experience Monday. She was visiting at the home of her sister near Emeline and went out to the mail box to get the mail. On turning around she saw a huge rattlesnake just where she had been sitting, and it was making its way towards her. She grabbed a club and succeeded in putting an end to the reptile. It was found to contain 9 rattles and one button.
