Dubuque Weekly Times, July 4, 1861.

GARRYOWEN-

We were assured yesterday by a gentlemen from the above locality that their Fourth of July celebration is to be a genuine Union jubilee. He further informed us that if Messrs. Samuels or Jennings uttered one single sentiment opposing the support of the Constitution and the Stars and Stripes or savoring the least of Secessionism, they would be peremptorily stopped. We were much gratified to learn this, and will here say we never suspected the loyalty of the citizens of that vicinity only as they were influenced by such notorious men as Mahony and the previous named above.
