RALSTON-SMOLA-
At the office of Justice Ralston, this city, on September 24, 1902, Ernst U. Ralston and Miss Minnie J. Smola, both of Monmouth. The groom was formerly of the U. S. Army and stationed in the Philippine Islands. He will be remembered as a Sentinel contributor and who came near losing his life at the hands of the Filipinos, but through bravery and hard struggle escaped. He received an honorable discharge and is now engaged in farming. The bride is a young lady of many charming qualities.
