Greenback Party Meets-
The Greenbackers held their county convention in the Court House in our city last Saturday. The attendance, pretty much all from Maquoketa, was small, not to exceed sixteen persons. J. E. Goodenow was chosen Chairman. The following delegates to attend the state convention at Des Moines, July 7th, and any that cannot go may appoint alternates: W. G. Stuart and N. K. Bowen, Bellevue; Moses Hull and J. L. Scholl, Maquoketa; E. M. Cook, Baldwin; Dr. Hubbard, Monmouth; Geo. Collipriest, Perry; and Levi Holroyd, Van Buren.
