LOUX-HEATH – At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Shinkle on Prospect street, of this city, on Thursday, March 7th at 10 o’clock, occurred the marriage of Mr. John Heath and Miss Sarah J. Loux of Monmouth, Rev. H. A .Dalrymple, officiating. A few friends and relatives were present to witness the impressive ceremony and offered congratulations, after which the happy couple led the way to the dining room, where Mrs. Shinkle, a sister of the groom, had prepared a bounteous wedding dinner, which was enjoyed by all. The new couple will make their home in Monmouth. Many friends unite in wishing them along, happy and prosperous life.

RUGGEBERG – LORENZEN. – At the Reformed church parsonage on Tuesday, March 12 at 3 p.m., Alfred Ruggeberg and Miss Dorothy Sophia Lorenzen were united in marriage by Rev. D. F. Boomershine using the beautiful and impressive double ring ceremony. Elmer Ruggeberg, a cousin of the groom, and Miss Hannah Raven stood up with them. The bride is a charming young woman from Wheatland, Iowa, and wore a lovely wedding gown of light blue messaline satin trimmed with white voileatichu and tunic effect and silk fringe and carried a shower bouquet of bride’s roses and ferns and wore cream roses in her hair. The groom is a prosperous, industrious, young farmer from south of Elwood, and wore a knobby wedding suit of black cloth. Miss Raven wore a beautiful gown of cream serge and the bridal party wore cream roses. The happy couple ate their wedding supper at the home of the groom’s parents, four miles south of Elwood, and they will go to housekeeping at once one mile south of the father’s farm, where they will be at home to their many friends, all of whom wish them a long, happy and prosperous life.

GRANT-ELY. – At the hospitable home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Grant on Tuesday, March 12, at high noon, their elder daughter, Hazel Marguerite, to Mr. Claude Harold Ely by Rev. D. F. Boomershine, who used the beautiful and impressive ring ceremony. The bride and groom were unattended. The bride wore an elegant wedding gown of crepe de chene over light blue messaline, trimmed in beads and fringe and wore carnations in her hair. She is a charming young woman and has a large circle of friends. The groom is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. B. D. Ely, an industrious young man in the employ of the C. M. & St. P. railroad
