January 12, 1932Dr. F. J. Swift to Seek Nomination
Dr. F. J. Swift, former mayor of this city for ten years, has received papers from the secretary of state, for his candidacy for the office of state representative from the forty- sixth district, Jackson county, on the democratic ticket. Dr. Swift seeks to succeed Carolyn C. Pendray, retiring representative who recently entered the race for state senator.
Dr. Swift served overseas during the World war and is a member of and past commander of Timber City post, American Legion. He has resided in Baldwin, Sabula and Maquoketa since entering his profession.
