Maquoketa Record, April 5, 1905:
The Hiram Lockwood golden wedding passed off very pleasantly in spite of the changeable weather. Many of the friends paid their respects during the afternoon. An elegant dinner was served at W.H.Hands. The W.C.T.U. presented this worthy couple with a gold berry spoon and cold meat fork, as a gift for their golden wedding.
