SPRAGUEVILLE CHURCH SETTING OF NOLTING AND JANSEN WEDDING

Salen Lutheran church, Spragueville, was the setting for the wedding Feb. 14 of Miss Christine Karen Jansen and John C. Nolting, both of Preston. Rev. Phillip Mueller officiated at the double ring ceremony at 1 p.m.

The bride is the daughter of Fred Jansen, who gave her in marriage. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Nolting.

Nuptial music was by Mrs. Gilbert Stromeyer, organist, and Donald Kelly, vocalist.

The bride's gown was of ivory satin, fashioned with apron effect tunic on the sweeping skirt which extended in a junior train. Her double veil of illusion ws held by a pearl coronet and she carried a cascade bouquet of red roses. Her pearl necklace and earrings were the gifts of the bridegroom.

Attendants were Miss Novella Rohwedder, the maid of honor, who wore a teal blue satin with lace yoke. Her flowers were red roses. Eleanor Tufford, the bridesmaid, was in pink taffeta and carried pink roses. Both wore mitts and half-mitts to match their gowns and a pearl necklace and earrings, gifts of the bride.

The bridegroom was attended by his brothers, Wayne and Loren Nolting. Vincent and Harris Thiede both of Preston were ushers.

Mrs. Nolting, mother of the bridegroom, wore a green suit and hat with a shoulder corsage of red roses.

The church parlors were decked in blue and white for the wedding reception, after which the newlyweds left on a western trip. The bride donned a navy blue ensemble with white accessories for traveling. They will be at home after March 1 on a farm near Preston. Mrs. Nolting has beeen employed at Jane Lamb hospital , Clinton, for the past year.

Guests attending the wedding and reception were from Chicago, Clinton, Bryant, Andover, Miles, Maquoketa and Preston.
