COUPLE MARRIED HERE DEC. 30
LAWRENCE-BECK VOWS EXCHANGED

Miss Eleanor Louise Beck, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Beck of Maquoketa became the bride of Dennis Frederick Lawrence, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Lawrence, of Andover, in a single ring ceremony performed here at noon yesterday in the local First Methodist church.

The Rev. Harry D. Green, pastor of the Maquoketa First Methodist parish, officiated at the exchange of nuptial vows, and Miss Edith Lawrence, sister of the bridegroom, and Ray Rickertsen, friends of the couple, served as attendants.

Miss Beck was attired in a street-length dress of valle blue with a silver-studden bodice and navy blue accessories. Her corsage was of gardenias and veiled tiara of blue. Her attendant wore a street length dress of beige and brown, with brown accessories, and a shoulder corsage of Talis-roses and matching tiara.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served in the home of the bride's parents, after which the couple departed for a brief wedding trip to the east. For traveling Mrs. Lawrence selected a costume of black velvet with blue accessories.

The bride was graduated from the Maquoketa high school with the class of 1938 and since has been employed as bookkeeper with the Gamble company here. Mr. Lawrence was graduated from Lyons high school with the class of 1937 and has since been employed on his father's farm near Andover, where the couple will establish their new home.
