Maquoketa Record, July 25, 1906:
Hon. A. Hurst shipped nine car loads of fine cattle to Chicago Sunday. They brought him $5.90 and had been on feed but ninety days. He bought the bunch in Kansas City and they increased upward of a hundred pounds a month each while he owned them. Mr. Hurst has the art of cattle feeding down fine and uses a stockfood of his own manufacture that he thinks helps him out a good deal.
