Miss Hulda Suthers and John Van Meter were united in marriage Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the Baptist parsonage, the pastor Rev. S. R. Dunlop performing the ceremonty. A few friends were present and Miss Daisy Kitts and Mrs. Dunlop acted as witnesses.
Mrs. Van Meter is well known in this city where she has lived for several years, and Mr. Van Meter, formerly of Andrew, has made his home in Maquoketa for the past three years. Mr. and Mrs. Van Meter have many friends in this city whose best wishes accompany them to their home at 208 N. Arcade street.
