MAQUOKETA GIRL MARRIED AT DECORAH
Miss Bertha Fischer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Fischer of this city, was united in marriage to J. E. Fottrel at the Catholic church parsonage in Decorah, Iowa, Wednesday morning at 7:30 o'clock.
The bride is a very charming and talented young lady, a graduate of the Maquoketa school with the class of 1918, attended college at Cedar Falls for two years and has been a teacher in the First ward school in this city for the past year.
The groom is a stranger to many in this city, but is well spoken of by those who know him. He is assistant coach in the Decorah high school, where the happy couple will make their home.
After a short wedding trip, including a short time with her parents in Maquoketa, they will be at home after July 1 at Decorah. The best wishes of a host of friends attend them.
