PROGRESS OF THE SICK IN MAQUOKETA
James Hayes is slowly recovering althought still confined to his home. Mrs. Edith Hamley is much better and is again up and around the home. Maxine Bowman, who has been suffering with pneumonia, is greatly improved. Word comes from A. L. Broxam at St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, that he is thought to be on the road to recovery. Dr. O. L. Frank was taken to Iowa City Monday to consult Dr. Rowan, who will probably perform an operation and put in a drainage tube to assist in removing pus from the lung. Emil Anderson is listed among the sick folks in our city.
