MRS. MARY E. HART, LIFE RESIDENT OF DAVENPORT, DIESMrs. Mary Evans Hart, a life resident of Davenport, died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. W. Pain, 416 East Rusholme street, Davenport, after a lingering illness.
Born on April 23, 1851, in Davenport, Mrs. Hart attended the public schools of this city and was united in marriage to William J. Hart, Nov. 25, 1869, in Davenport. Mr. Hart preceded his wife in death in 1910. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the G.A.R. and the Edwards Congregational church.
Surviving are three sons, Samuel Leroy Hart of Davenport, Ralph E., of Dalhart, Texas, and Milo J. Harte of Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. W.F. Hunt and Mrs. F. W. Pain, both of Davenport; 12 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hill & Fredericks chapel. Burial will be in Pine Hill cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
