(Ara J. Bowmans To Mark Anniversary)
Mr. and Mrs. Ara J. Bowman will observe their golden wedding anniversary at a party to be given in the American Legion Home at 8:00 p.m., Monday, Sept.6.
The couple was married September 7, 1893, in the parsonage of the local Reformed Church, with the Rev. S. P. Harrington, pastor, conducting the
ceremony. They were attended by the late Alvira Eaton Romer and Seneca
Keeley, brother of Mrs. Bowman, who, before her marriage, was Miss Bertha Keeley.
Aiding them in marking the event will be their three sons, Earl, Francis and Arthur, all of Maquoketa; and six daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Riggs, Mrs. Blanche
Wendel, Eva Bowman and Mrs. Carl Hoerschelman, all of Maquoketa; and Mrs. Florence Wasoba, of Baldwin; and Mrs. Eleanor Berryhill, of Iowa City.
The couple also have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Bowman will be happy to have their friends join them on
the occasion.
