The Right Man For The Office of State Senator
No Better Choice Could Have Been MadeThe Republicans of Jackson County are especially fortunate in their nominee for State Senator. No better man for the place can be found in a days travel than Dr. A. B. Bowen, whom they named unanimously at the primary and who is now turning his attention somewhat to the activities of the campaign as he deems it a duty to his associate candidates to do his part.
The doctor has been an honored citizen of this city since the civil war, in which he served his country faithfully and his life is known to all men. He has led a practical, useful, active business life and although past its meridian a little, the years weigh lightly upon him, and his active mind is stored with knowledge gathered from the experience of well spent years.
To the office, if elected, he carries the matured judgment of a lifetime and will be a valuable counsellor in the matters of state.
He is not a factionalist, but a Republican in every sense of the word, who will dare to do the things that in his judgment are for the best interest of the people of the state. The election of Dr. Bowen will be an honor most worthily bestowed. Make his majority as large as possible.
