Sylvester Nestor for County Recorder

Sylvester L. Nestor, a bright young man of Richland Township, comes highly recommended. He too is a native of Jackson County. His father, Patrick Nestor, was among the first pioneers in the northern part of the county, settling there in the early 1850’s. Sylvester was born and reared in Richland Township and is now in his 34th year. After finishing his studies in his home schools he took a course in Baylies Business College of Dubuque, graduating from that institution with much credit for his proficiency. He is married and is now residing in LaMotte, where he is employed in the lumber business with his brother-in-law, James F. Cahill. Mr. Nestor has held local offices and always acquitted himself with credit. He is pleasant, accommodating and withal qualified to make a first-class Recorder.
