Our candidate for State Senator, Major W. S. R. Burnette, is highly spoken of by all who know him, and many staunch, life long Democrats have already signified their intention both to vote and to work for him on election day. They have many good reasons for objecting to Kegler, and besides the people of Jackson County are getting tired of being represented in a Republican assembly by Democrats, who on account of their politics must necessarily have very little influence in that body compared with good, able and honest Republicans.-Excelsior.
