Midwest Publications, Inc, 1953BAUCH, PAUL, Industrialist, of Fairfield, was born at Maquoketa, March 7, 1918, son of Carl Paul and Neta (Anderson) Bauch. He was educated in Maquoketa Junior College, class of 1937 and Iowa State College receiving the B. S. degree in agronomy in 1942. After a year spent in the employ of the Pioneer Hybrid Seed Company of Johnston, Iowa, he entered the United States Army for World War II service, being attached to the Infantry. He was honorably discharged with the rank of lieutenant in March, 1946, and until December of that year was in charge of research for the United Hybrid Seed Company at Shenandoah. He then entered the employ of Doughboy Industries, Incorporated, of New Richmond, Wisconsin, as a feed salesman. In June, 1947, he was made assistant sales manager of the milling division, and six months later was sent to Fairfield as manager of the Fairfield Soya Division of the company. He was elected in 1950 vice president of that division, the office he now holds. Mr. Bauch is a director of the Western Grain and Feed Association, and a member of the Camber of Commerce of the United States, and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. In religion he is a Methodist. His hobby is woodworking. Paul Bauch was married at Racine, Wisconsin, in October, 1943, to Lorraine, daughter of E. H. and Florence (Rhodes) Lias; a daughter, Sherry, was born in 1945.
