Sheriff Morris S. Allen.

Of M.S. Allen, our candidate for Sheriff, it seems almost unnecssary to say anything commendatory. For two terms he has held the office, and the party have shown their high appreciation of him as a man and officer by conferring upon him a re-nomination. Indeed, so faithfully and well has he performed his duties that today he is confessedly the most popular man in Jackson County. Two years ago his majority was 475, and this time we confidently expect to see it increased to at least 600. Mr. Allen has always been a firm and unwavering Democrat, and years ago, while a resident of Michigan, his fellow Democrats then conferred upon him the same office he now holds.
