Born on January 17, 1919, Bellevue, Iowa. Son of Charles and Inez Lamborn. Graduated from Bellevue High School in 1936. Employed by Iowa State Highway Commission for 10 years. Served with U.S. Army Engineers in W.W. II for 4 ½ years in European and Pacific Theaters. Started own firm in 1954, and is presently serving as president of Lamborn Construction Co., Inc. Married Marshalline Davis in 1942. Has daughter, Janet, and one grandson. Member of First Methodist Church. American Legion. Maquoketa Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Izaak Walton League and board member of Jackson County Historical Society. Majority leader, 64th General Assembly. Serving third session in Senate.
