John and Mary REED nee Tobias, with children, left their home in Pennsylvania around 1850 and resettled in Perry Township, City of Maquoketa, State of Iowa. They are traceable up through 1870, but no record of either can be found after that. John dob 1808 in Pennsylvania. Mary dob 1815, also in Pennsylvania. Two sons, James H. and Daniel S., fought in Civil War Iowa Cavalry, Daniel having been captured and perished in Andersonville War Prison. Biography compiled by writer thru available records.
Would like further info as to deaths of either or both.
