I was with Alsonett Hotels from 1960 to 1965, at the Jayhawk Hotel in Topeka, Kansas, the corporate office in Tulsa and the Peabody Hotel in Memphis. You are right in that Mr. Charles Alberding owned the hotels and he really did not want to put money in them and had purchased the hotels betting that no matter the condition the value would increase afte WW II. He was an unusual gentleman. I remember when he bought a new Lincoln and had the air conditioning disconnected. He is deceased and the company does not exist. I hope this answers some questions. I also worked daily with Leona Helmsley and that is another story.
