Help needed.

Emma Hart Merrill, daughter of William Hart and Etta Erskins Hart, died at age 25, 10 April 1896. She was born in Iowa and was left an orphan at an early age. For a number of years, she made her home with an uncle. Later she made her home in St. Louis and came from there to Nebraska in 1886.

The names of her parents come from her marriage license. Both were born in Iowa.

I have been searching for more information for ten years. I can find nothing on census records, birth/marriage/death records for any information prior to her marriage in Geneva, NE in 1890.
