Hi Chuck,
Glad to see you back on research. I am from the Richard Patten & Lucy Calwell line...then Oliver Washington Patten & Nancy Ann Givens...then Eva Lora Patten & John Phlemon Littreal... I haven't found anything else on Richard Patten & Lucy Calwell since we were working on them a year or so ago. I did find all 12 of my Granny Littreal's brothers and sisters.
If you ever get over to Washington County or know someone over there, I need a snap of a few tombstones...my Granny's oldest sister & her husband: Walter Ellsworth Taylor & Quitera May Patten/Taylor. There should still be some of Walter and Quitera's family left around Hillsboro, OR. If you ever come across anyone tell them I would love to talk to them.
Your Eady Jonah Cole married Oliver Washington Patten's sister; Dicey Ruth Patten on Feb 27, 1855 in Iowa County, IA (book A-B page 18) I only have what you sent on the Cole's as I am concentrating on the Patten surname. I have sooo many branches on my tree, I had to keep focused on the Pattens. Since I am adopted, I have twice as many surnames to research.
Also, Nancy Drucilla Patten (sister to my Oliver Washington) married John Derbin Cole on May 23, 1851 in Cass County, IN.
We have several connections on the Patten line.
I had a girl contact me back in April saying her grandmother was my Granny's younger sister. I never heard from her again. I'll send her a note and see if she's ready to exchange notes.
Talk to you again
Cindy Hardin
