Margaret and Mary Patten

Looking for further information on Margaret Ann Patten (1840) and Mary E. Patten (1846), both daughters of Richard and Lucy Patten. Both shown still living with parents in 1860 Census of Marengo, Iowa, Iowa. Not with parents in 1870 Census. Parents died in Marengo, so no move there. Suspect they got married but have not located any record of that. Could be living with relatives in 1870, but have not found that either. Any hints would be appreciated.
