Donald & John James MacDonald from Prince Edward Island

I am looking for two brothers, Donald F. (b. 9/7/1884)and John James (b. 4/4/1888 in Souris, Prince Edward Island to Allan MacDonald. They left and went 'west.' The are on the 1901 census for Lot 45. They were heard from in the 1950's and are known to have gone to Iowa. Their brother Hughie died in 1956 - he heard from them before he died. And their brother Joseph died in 1959 and the family heard from Donald at that time. He said that John had died. They also had 4-5 sisters.

They were farmer's sons - and they would be my Great Uncles. I would like to find them and Iowa is a big state. Thanks.
