Any information on Benjamin Lovell Bean from the Williamsburg area (he married Catherine Lortz), or C.W. Statler from the North English area.
Bean was my 2x greatgrandfather -- we think he came from Maine. He served in an Iowa regiment of the Union Army -- then was a stage coach driver between Iowa City and Montezuma.
Statler was my great grandfather -- he served in the Civil War.
