Parents of John Varner b:1 Sep 1806 resided Linn Co IA 1880

looking for information that would show lineage/parents for JOHN VARNER

John: b: 01 Sep 1806 in PA, m: Irena Andrews 31 Oct 1827, remarried Julina Cormick, in Linn Co. Iowa (1877), d: 04 Oct 1880 in Linn Co. Iowa). Believe John and Julina living with son Joseph W. Varner in Linn Iowa at time of 1880 census and at time of John's death. Unable to find death certificate on line as yet (hoping that parents would be named).

I believe john's parents were John Varner b: 02 Sep 1772, d 1846 and Sarah Moore b: 1785, d: 1855, but can't prove this.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
