For benefit of those needing this information, here is the Marriage Record from Book "C", Page 360, Iowa county Recorder's office, Iowa county, Iowa: John M. Roby and Margaret S. McGinnis applied for marriage license November 12, 1872 and the legal age and condition of said John M. Roby having been proven, and the said Margaret S. McGinnis having been proven to be over the age of seventeen years and unmarried. All by the affidavit of S.N. Shanks and the consent of Samuel Shanks guardian of the said Margaret S. M. McGinnis having been filed duly proven by the affidavit of the said S. N. Shanks, license was therefore issued. To the Circuit Court of Iowa County this certifies that on the 13th day of November A.D. 1872, at English township in said county, according to law and by authority I duly joined in marriage John M. Roby and Margaret S. McGinnis. Given under my hand the 13th day of November A.D. 1872. Wm Jayne, Jr. - Justice of the Peace
