Thank you but I have the census records. I don't know why but the Arvidson's were married and buried in Iowa County but they lived in LeRoy, Benton Co in all the census I have for them.

Maren (Mary) Arvedson stated in the 1900 census that she had 3 children and two were still living. One would be my great great grandmother Maren Arvedson Nelson (Mary C. Nelson). None of the census lists another sibling.

My other great great grandmother, Carin/Catherine/Karen Nilsdotter Arvedson had a daughter born in Denmark named Albertine Arvedson. They came to the US - Iowa in 1873 when she was 7 years old. In the 1880 census she is not listed so she must have died between 1873 and 1880.

It is confusing because my great grandfather (Ferdinand Nelson Arvedson aka Fred Arvedson) and great grandmother's (Maren Smith Arvedson)step fathers were brothers so in the census they are listed with the same last name as the Head of the Household.
