Dies at Bricelyn
BRICELYN -- Mrs. Russell (Myrtle I.) Baker, 76, a resident here 22 years, died of cancer at 2:30 p. m. Thursday in her home.
A native of Williamsburg, Iowa, she was born June 13, 1886 to the late John and Etta Rassensperger. At the age of 16 she came with her parents to Kiester. She had lived at Bricelyn since 1941 and was a member of Bricelyn Baptist Church.
She was married to Russell Baker April 20, 1905, at Kiester. He survives her.
Other survivors are one son, Burrell, in California; two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Maurene) Wigern, Kiester, and Mrs. Earl Corr (Geraldine), in California; four brothers, Oris, Alden; Francis, Milwaukee, Wis.; Raymond in Washington State, and John, Redwood City, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Lyman Young in Alaska, and Mrs. Mabel O'Brien, Everett, Wash.; nine grandchildren and eight great - grandchildren. Three sisters and one brother preceded her in death. Services will be at 2 p. m. Monday in Bricelyn Baptist Church. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery at Kiester. The Rev. Russell Nelson will officiate. Friends may call at Lee Funeral Home Sunday afternoon and evening.
