MRS. CHARLES ROHRER DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Mrs. Edna Maud Gwinn Rohrer was born at Victor, Iowa on Nov. 16, 1880, a daughter of William and Virginia Gwinn. She passed away at her home on Saturday morning, Oct. 15 at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 29 days.

She taught in the rural schools of this community for several years prior to her marriage. On Jan. 28, 1903 she was united in marriage to Charles Rohrer, and to this union five children were born: Raymond, Virginia (Mrs. Boyd Smith) and Wallace of Victor, Ardath (Mrs. Melvin Hall) of Waterloo and Rex of Cedar Rapids.

She lived all her life in this community and was a member of the Congregational church at Carnforth.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Gwinn.

Surviving are her husband, five children, 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva (Mrs. Edgar Hicks) of Fort Collins, Colo., and Blanche (Mrs. William Norton) of Washington, Iowa; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from the McAninch chapel Monday, Oct. 17 with the Rev. N. F. Grote, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. Two organ solos, "Silver Threads Among the Gold" and "Beyond the Sunset," were played by Mrs. G.W. Rieke, organist.

Flowers were cared for by Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Price and Mr and Mrs. Lawrence Merck.

Casket bearers were Wayne, Earl and Max Dolmage, Richard and Melvin Hull and Russell Price. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery beside her parents.

With deepest gratitude we extend this word of thanks for the flowers, food, memorials and all the kind deeds at the time of our bereavement. Such kindnesses can never be forgotten.
