Dennis Allen Lippincott, age 84, of Harlingen Texas, and Churchill Montana, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023, at his home with his loving wife by his side. A celebration of life gathering will be held Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Michael J. Manatt Community Center, downtown Brooklyn, Iowa. Private inurnment will be held at Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery, Brooklyn, Iowa.

Denny was born October 20, 1939, at home in Brooklyn, Iowa to the late Charles and Sylvia (Wilson) Lippincott. He was the second of nine children. Denny graduated from Belle Plaine High School, in Belle Plaine, Iowa in 1957, and later attended Kirkwood Community College.

Denny and Sandra (Hiller) Lippincott were married on August 5, 1973, in Wapello, Iowa. Together they raised four children in Ft. Madison, Iowa. He was in sales, and he sold cars at McGrath Pontiac in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Denny managed the sales departments for Stoyer Motors in Ft. Madison and Boulton Motors in Hamilton, Illinois.

Denny was involved in his community. He was active in Jaycees and was a state Jaycees officer. He was a member of the West Union Fire Department, Ft. Madison Lions Club, Rotary and Bloodhound Booster Club. Denny enjoyed history and was on the old Fort Committee. He was a cast member of Old Fort Players. Denny served on the Ft. Madison YMCA Board, Kids Wrestling Booster Club and was a member of Ft. Madison First United Methodist Church.

Upon retirement, Denny and Sandee said farewell to the cold winters of Iowa and began to travel. For a number of years, they lived full time in their RV, traveling to all lower 48 states, Alaska and Canada. Denny and Sandee enjoyed seeing the open road through their windshield and met many great friends along their way. Later they traded in their RV to winter in Harlingen and enjoy the summers in Fairfield, Iowa, and later Churchill. Denny was a car enthusiast, enjoyed refinishing furniture, woodworking, and painting projects for his friends and family.

Denny was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved baseball. He enjoyed spending time visiting new places and playing cards with his friends at Fig Tree RV Resort. He loved a good meal, a great campsite, and a fun joke. Denny never knew a stranger and had a unique ability to connect with others creating friendships wherever he was.

Denny loved his four children and was an awesome dad. He was proud of his children, encouraged them to enjoy every moment of life and value friendships. Denny had a keen memory, often recounting his customers and the vehicles he sold. His most enjoyment came from his grandchildren and visiting them throughout the country.

Denny is survived by his loving wife Sandee of 50 years; two daughters Teresa (David) Spavin, of Land O’Lakes, FL., Amber (Ret. LTC Robert) Rustad, of Belgrade, MT., and son Rustin Lippincott of Detroit Lakes, MN., eight grandchildren Nick (Liz) Juarez of Munica, MI., Bryan Gogg of Indianapolis, IN., Austin Juarez of Oklahoma City, OK., Kelly (Becky) Spavin-Silvermintz of Lawrence, KS., Colin Brooks of Ft. Madison, Jada Lippincott of Big Sky, MT., Tyler Rustad of Belgrade, MT., and Sadee Ann Rustad of Belgrade, MT.; two great-grandchildren Kaelynn Brooks and Harper Juarez. Also surviving Denny are four sisters Linda Scott, Carol (Chuck) Elliott, Dana (Sam White) Knapp, and Connie (John) Gates; two brothers-in-law Larry (Jan) Hiller, and Steve (Leah) Hiller; sister-in-law Shirley Eyres and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Sylvia Lippincott; a daughter Pamela Denise Juarez, brothers Charles Lippincott, Jeffery Lippincott, and Chris Lippincott; a sister Sharon Jacobi and a brother-in-law James Eyres.

Per Denny’s wishes cremation has been entrusted to the care of Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen, Texas.
