Larry B. Holden, 69, of Henderson, died January 1, 2023 at his home after a nearly 4-year battle with cancer.

He was born on March 28, 1953 to Sarah and Bruce Holden in Sigourney, Iowa and grew up in North English, Iowa.

Larry attended the University of Iowa and was a Vietnam-era veteran serving in the Air Force from 1973 to 1976.

Larry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandi, daughter Mallory and son-in-law Jei Choi, son Alex and daughter-in-law Bailey, son Aaron, granddaughter Ellie Choi and soon-to-be born, grandson Lucas Holden. He is also survived by his sisters Vicki, Linda, Kathy, Kim, Sherri and brother Scott.

In 1987, Larry joined Assurance Limited as a surety specialist, where he worked with local business owners providing all lines of insurance with a focus on surety. Larry worked with many local contractors of all sizes and types and was well respected by his clients, the insurance and surety carrier community and the local business community. He became a partner at Assurance, Ltd. where he worked until his death. He was a member of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers and the National Underground Contractors Association.

Larry's hobbies included woodworking, golf and SCUBA diving.

Interment will take place at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. A celebration of Larry's life will be held in March, date to be determined.
