Pauline L. Hadenfeldt, age 80, of Parnell, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place from 2-5 p.m., Saturday December 3, 2022, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is assisting the family with arrangements.

Pauline is survived by her daughters Patricia (Keith) Garringer of Williamsburg, and Tammy Streit (Tim Bell) of Excelsior Springs, MO., five grandchildren, Joshua (Samantha) Garringer of Anamosa, Jonathan (Megan) Garringer of Williamsburg, Samantha (John) Garringer-Daly of North Liberty, Kenny Donnelly (Heather Fink) of Excelsior Springs, MO., and Amanda Donnelly (Patrick Crowley) of Excelsior Springs, MO., five great-grandchildren, Trey and Alaycia Garringer, Elijah and Abel Garringer, and Kaylie Donnelly; two sisters, Mary (David) Dixon of Iowa City and Margaret Rhinehart of Williamsburg; four brothers, Harold (Sylvia) Kruse of Parnell, Richard (Mary) Kruse of Parnell, Robert Kruse of Amana, and David (Betty) Kruse of Parnell. Also surviving Pauline are two sisters-in-law Sally Kruse of North Liberty and Marilyn Kruse of Wapello; and her special friend Terry Bush of Parnell.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Paul Kruse Jr., and William Kruse, her sister Betty Cummings, and several nieces and nephews.

Pauline Lavonne Kruse was born September 25, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Dykstra Kruse. She graduated from Parnell high school in 1960. Pauline was united in marriage to Donald Hadenfeldt on June 30, 1962. The couple later divorced. She worked in the labor and delivery department at the University of Iowa for 40 years, retiring in 2000. Pauline enjoyed gardening, her flowers, baking and watching Iowa Hawkeye Basketball. She doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were her life. She especially loved spending time with them and attending their sporting activities. Her greatest passion was being a grandma and great-grandma.

The family would like to thank all those who loved, cared, and supported Pauline in the last year and a half.
