Curtis “Curt” C. Kinzenbaw, age 70, of Marengo passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport. Per Curt’s wishes there will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life open house will be held from 4 to 6 P.M., Thursday, August 18, 2022, at the home of Karl and LouAlice Berger’s, 300 W. Adams St. Marengo, IA. 52301. A private family inurnment will be held at the Koszta Cemetery at a later date. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is assisting the family with arrangements.

Curt is survived by his siblings LouAlice (Karl) Berger of Marengo, Sylvia (Al) Fenneman of Marengo, and Rick (Cindy) Kinzenbaw of Marengo; four nieces, Karla (Eric) Marck, Karmen Berger, Janet (Steve) Holst-Behrens, and Courtney Kinzenbaw; two nephews, Jesse (Tiffany) Kinzenbaw and Doug (Michelle) Sims. Also surviving Curt are 10 grand nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Russ Kinzenbaw.

Curtis Charles Kinzenbaw was born September 8, 1951, in Belle Plaine, Iowa the son of Charles and Bertha Hocker Kinzenbaw. He graduated from Marengo high school with the class of 1971. Curt worked as an assembler for Amana Refrigeration and later Kinze Manufacturing. He was an Iowa Hawkeye fan, enjoyed watching television, especially rodeos, and any NBA basketball game. Curt was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his family.
