Virginia Clare (Ginny) Alderson (96) of Edwards, Missouri, went peacefully to be with her Savior Jesus Christ with family at her side on November 4, 2021.

Ginny was very committed to the meaningful work of Samaritan's Purse and was very involved in the Christmas Shoebox for many years. She would be pleased if memorials were sent to Samaritan's Purse at: samaritanspurse.org.

Ginny was born in Nashville, Tennessee June 29, 1925. Ginny worked at Fitzsimmons Veteran’s Hospital in Denver during World War II. After the war, Ginny and Tom married on November 25, 1948 in Omaha Nebraska. They were married 66 years before Tom’s passing in 2014. Ginny and Tom lived in NE, MT, MN and ID. She was an office manager for an accounting firm while in Mankato MN.

She committed her life to the Lord many years ago. She loved spending time in His word, spreading His saving grace through leadership in Bible Study Fellowship as well as serving her family, friends and her church community. She also loved traveling to places such as Rio de Janeiro, Acapulco, and Hawaii, living in the mountains of Cascade Idaho and in her final years, enjoying the beauty of The Lake of the Ozarks. She had a tremendous positive influence and touched so many lives. She will be greatly missed.

Ginny is survived by her children Tim Alderson (Dee Dee) of Parma, ID, Janelle Mullen of Edwards, MO (with whom she was living for the past 10 years), Dave Alderson (Christy) of Edwards, Missouri. Eight Grandchildren, Willie Alderson (Melany) ID, Kelli Theobald (Reese) ID, Kate Newbery (Billy) ID, Jim Mullen (Jill) NE, Jessica Slosson (Kyle) NE, John Alderson (Jenn) ID, Nick Alderson (Amanda) FL, Travis Alderson ID; and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husvand Tom, her parents George and Edith Wine and her brother George Wine.

"Let not your hearts be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." John 14:1-3
