Lawrence Robert "Bob" "Bugsy" Haman, 62, of Long Beach, Calif., formerly of the Williamsburg area, died of a heart attack Wednesday, June 8, 2005, in Long Beach. Services: 1 p.m. Sunday, June 26, Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Marengo. Burial: Zion Cemetery, rural Millersburg.
Survivors include three children, Robert, Lisa and David, all of California; and two brothers, Jerry of Kirksville, Mo., and Randy of Marengo.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Serena McVay, Stephanie Mathis, Dillon Mathis and Jacqueline Olivia Haman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lawrence Robert Haman was born July 22, 1942, in Iowa, the son of Lawrence John and Mildred Maxine (Weaver) Haman. He attended country school and graduated from Williamsburg High School and
Central College, Pella. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1984 after serving 22 years. He served on a boat in Vietnam as an electronics technician. He continued as an electronics technician after his military
service and traveled all over the world. His hobbies included motorcycling, boating and being with his family and friends.
He will be missed by all.
Lunch will be served at the church before the service, starting at noon.
