Slaughter, La.

'I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.'

Carl J. Andrews, 93, 'Jr.', a resident of Slaughter, La. and a native of Cono Township, Iowa, died at his home on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018. He was retired, after working for Corrosion Materials. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at the Olive Branch Baptist Fellowship, 1290 Hwy 67, Slaughter, La., from 9:30 a.m. until funeral services at 12:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Rusty Bowser. Interment will be at Hillcrest Mausoleum in Baker, La.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Judy Kay Andrews; three daughters, Shirley K. Andrews and Gary Rebic of Greenwell Springs, La., Donna Wayson and husband Denny Wayson of Marengo, Iowa, and Debbie Ette of Liberty, Miss.; two step-daughters, Teresa Lott and husband Robert Lott of Lafayette, La., Lisa Munn and husband Mike Munn of Central, La.; two stepsons, Billy Lefebure and wife Kathy Lefebure of Ely, Iowa, and Brian Lefebure and wife Brenda of Greenwell Springs; nine siblings, Bernice Keyes of Des Moines, Iowa, Lucille Cady of Marion, Iowa, Sandy Ashlock (Howard) of Urbana, Iowa, Betty Erger (Harold) of Center Point, Iowa, Ginger Andrews of Center Point, Iowa, Gladys Maas of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Penny Krob (Mike) of Walker, Iowa, Ronnie Andrews of Hiawatha, Iowa, and Danny Andrews (Martha) of Kahoka, Iowa; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-four greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Ritchie Andrews and Gary Andrews; parents, Carl and Alta Marie [Glass] Andrews; siblings, Eleanor Buker, Kenny Andrews, Elaine Saddoris, Kevin Andrews and Claude Andrews. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and greatgrandsons. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Fellowship and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Baker.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St.

Jude's Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
