John W. Smith, 81, of Marengo, died Wednesday morning, March 2, 2005, in Rose Haven Nursing Home following an extended illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Kloster Funeral Home, by the Rev. Dan Andrews. Burial: Marengo Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Survivors include three daughters, Pearl Green of Williamsuburg, Juanita Rivera of Marengo and Alicia Velez of Coralville; and a sister, Nettie Bell Hall of Burmingham, Ala.
